GREELEY, Colo. (AP) - A Milliken man who pleaded guilty to charges after a crash that killed his pregnant wife will serve 18 months in a work-release program.

Thirty-1-year-old Scott Huggins was sentenced to the term Thursday as part of a 4-year sentence to intensive supervised probation. Probation officers also could impose an extra six months of electronic home monitoring.

Huggins pleaded guilty in December to conspiracy to commit criminally negligent child abuse resulting in serious bodily injury and careless driving causing the death of his wife, Danielle Huggins, last year.

Prosecutors say she was driving a minivan that swerved and rolled after the couple got in a fight that turned physical. Three children in the minivan were injured.
